Bears Sign Goaltender Ben Kraws to AHL Contract

July 16, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has signed goaltender Ben Kraws to an American Hockey League contract for the 2026-27 season. The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer. Kraws, 25, spent the majority of the 2025-26 campaign with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads, going 16-12-2 in 31 appearances with a 3.03 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage. Bears Sign Morrison, McCallum, and Beck to AHL Contracts

July 14, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears have announced the signing of forwards Cam Morrison and Landon McCallum and defenseman Noah Beck to American Hockey League contracts for the 2026-27 season. The announcements were made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer. Morrison, 27, returns to North America after spending last season overseas with the Stavanger Oilers of Norway's EliteHockey Ligaen, where he collected 30 points (18g, 12a) in 40 games. Capitals Acquire Forward Tyler Kopff in Trade with Sabres

July 13, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Washington Capitals, the National Hockey League affiliate of the Hershey Bears, have acquired forward Tyler Kopff from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for forward Zac Funk. The announcement was made by Washington senior vice president and general manager Chris Patrick. Kopff, 23, appeared in 30 games last season with the AHL's Rochester Americans, scoring five points (1g, 4a). Bears Sign Garin Bjorklund to AHL Contract

July 13, 2026 - (Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has signed goaltender Garin Bjorklund to an American Hockey League contract for the 2026-27 season. The announcement was made by Hershey vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer. Bjorklund, 24, went 5-9-3 in 17 appearances for the Bears in 2025-26, posting a 3.72 goals-against average, an .876 save percentage, and one shutout.
