Pittsburgh's Postseason Roster Features 19 Alumni of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

July 27, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins announced their roster for Phase 4 of the NHL's Return to Play Play, featuring 19 alumni of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. NHL clubs were permitted to bring rosters of 31 players to the Safe Zones of their designated hub city, either Toronto, Ontario or Edmonton, Alberta. July 6, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forwards Nick Schilkey and Zach Nastasiuk to American Hockey League contracts for the 2020-21 season. May 26, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Jon Lizotte to an American Hockey League contract for the 2020-21 season. Lizotte, 25, appeared in 59 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during his first season as a pro, quickly forming a formidable defense pairing with fellow rookie Pierre-Olivier Joseph. AHL Cancels Remainder of 2019-20 Season

May 11, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - American Hockey League President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Andrews announced today that the league's Board of Governors has voted to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and the 2020 Calder Cup Playoffs due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.
