April 3, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins emerged triumphant against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, 3-1, on Friday night at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (42-16-6-2) jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first period and didn't look back. Avery Hayes posted a point on each of his team's three goals as the Penguins won their fifth game in a row.

April 2, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Daniel Russell to an American Hockey League contract starting in the 2026-27 season. Russell will join the Penguins immediately on an amateur tryout agreement.
Russell just completed a four-year collegiate career with Michigan State University. The Traverse City, Michigan native reached double-digits in goal-scoring in each of his last three seasons, and he produced 119 points (45G-74A) in 150 games with the Spartans.

Avery Hayes gave the Penguins a first-period lead with a shorthanded goal, then tallied an insurance marker in the third. March 31, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Emil Pieniniemi from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to their ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers.
Pieniniemi was drafted by Pittsburgh in the third round (91st overall) of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He made his AHL debut with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Jan. 31, a home win over the Syracuse Crunch. Pieniniemi posted one goal and two assists for three points in nine games as a Penguin.
