Pittsburgh's Postseason Roster Features 19 Alumni of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

July 27, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins announced their roster for Phase 4 of the NHL's Return to Play Play, featuring 19 alumni of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. NHL clubs were permitted to bring rosters of 31 players to the Safe Zones of their designated hub city, either Toronto, Ontario or Edmonton, Alberta. Pittsburgh's submitted roster includes 17 forwards, 10 defensemen and four goaltenders. July 6, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forwards Nick Schilkey and Zach Nastasiuk to American Hockey League contracts for the 2020-21 season. May 26, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Jon Lizotte to an American Hockey League contract for the 2020-21 season. Lizotte, 25, appeared in 59 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during his first season as a pro, quickly forming a formidable defense pairing with fellow rookie Pierre-Olivier Joseph. AHL Cancels Remainder of 2019-20 Season

May 11, 2020 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - American Hockey League President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Andrews announced today that the league's Board of Governors has voted to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and the 2020 Calder Cup Playoffs due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.
