Ryan Scarfo Recalled by Penguins

October 15, 2019 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled forward Ryan Scarfo from the Penguins' ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers. Scarfo, 25, is coming off of his rookie season during which he was traded by the Belleville Senators to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Dec. 5, 2018. Scarfo played 25 games with the Penguins, posting a goal and six assists for seven points in that time. In 44 career AHL games, Scarfo has registered 11 points (3G-8A). October 13, 2019 - HERSHEY, Pa. - In their final game of a three-in-three weekend, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins lost to the Hershey Bears, 5-1, on Sunday at Giant Center. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (1-2-1-0) scored a late player-play goal to spoil Hershey's shutout bid, but ultimately, the Bears rode a diverse offensive attack to victory. Penguins Lose Home Opener in Overtime, 4-3

October 12, 2019 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins worked hard to make a comeback, but dropped their home opener in overtime to the Utica Comets, 4-3, on Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (1-1-1-0) erased a two-goal deficit in the second period and even assumed a 3-2 lead in the third, but Utica used a late strike to even the scales.
