Penguins Eliminated with Game 6, Overtime Loss
June 7, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fell in overtime of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final, 2-1, to the Toronto Marlies on Sunday night at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.
As a result, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has been eliminated from the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs. Toronto won the best-of-seven series, 4-2, with the fatal blow delivered by former Penguin Alex Nylander at 13:44 of OT.

June 7, 2026 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled defenseman Brent Johnson from their ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers. Additionally, the Penguins have signed defenseman Quinn Beauchesne to an amateur tryout agreement.

June 5, 2026 - TORONTO, Ont. - An intense and emotional Game 5 in the Eastern Conference Final saw the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fall 5-1 to the Toronto Marlies on Friday night at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Toronto notched five unanswered goals, including three tallies during a frenzied, penalty-filled third period. The two teams combined for 100 penalty minutes in the final frame, but the mania failed to spark a Penguins comeback.
With the win, Toronto took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.

June 3, 2026 - TORONTO, Ont. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins emerged on the winning end of a 4-3 thriller against the Toronto Marlies in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
The victory evened the best-of-seven series at 2-2 and continued the trend of tightly contested matchups between the Penguins and Marlies. Rutger McGroarty notched the game-winning goal with 2:59 remaining in regulation after Wilkes-Barre/Scranton pulled out of an early two-goal hole.
