Cyclones Rally in Third for Comeback Win

October 12, 2019 - CINCINNATI, OH - The Cincinnati Cyclones were a dominant team on home ice last season, but for two periods on Saturday, the Wheeling Nailers had them on the ropes. Myles Powell and Willy Smith built a 2-0 lead, only to see Cincinnati rattle off four straight goals for a 4-2 comeback win at U.S. Bank Arena. Nailers Announce 2019-20 Roster & Captains

October 11, 2019 - WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, are pleased to announce their roster and captains for the 2019-20 season. The roster consists of 23 players - 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and three goaltenders. Friday began with the selections of the team captains. The captain is forward Nick Saracino, who wears the "C" for the second straight season in Wheeling. Marathon Shootout Goes to Fort Wayne

October 5, 2019 - FORT WAYNE, IN - Offense was the name of the game during the weekend series between the Wheeling Nailers and Fort Wayne Komets, as the two Central Division rivals combined to score 20 goals in two games. However, the goaltenders rose to the occasion in Saturday night's shootout. Alex D'Orio and Cole Kehler combined to stop 19 of 22 shooters, with Brady Shaw's 11th round attempt found the twine, lifting Fort Wayne to the 6-5 home ice win. Komets Win Wild One in Overtime to Open Preseason

October 4, 2019 - FORT WAYNE, IN - The Wheeling Nailers and Fort Wayne Komets waited all summer to get back into action, and they put on a show of nine goals, 71 shots, and five fights at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Wheeling erased an early 2-0 deficit by scoring four straight goals, including a hat trick by Brandon Hawkins.
