Meara Joins Hounds 2 Coaching Staff

April 1, 2026 - PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC has announced that veteran coach James Meara will join Riverhounds 2 as an assistant coach in the team's inaugural season. Meara has been with the Riverhounds for the past nine years as the Academy East Director, overseeing RDA Connellsville, and he brings experience spanning from the youth to the professional level to the new USL League Two side. Hounds Advance to Round of 32 in Open Cup

March 31, 2026 - PITTSBURGH - A pair of second-half goals have the Pittsburgh Riverhounds back into the Round of 32 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup after claiming a 2-0 victory in the Second Round over Virginia Dream FC tonight at Highmark Stadium. Danny Griffin and Eliot Goldthorp scored eight minutes apart for the Hounds, who have reached the Round of 32 in the cup each of the past four years. Brace Lands Dikwa on Team of the Week

March 31, 2026 - PITTSBURGH - Coming off a two-goal performance, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC forward Albert Dikwa was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 4, the league announced this afternoon. Dikwa found the net on each side of halftime in the Hounds' 3-2 win Saturday over Sporting Jacksonville, scoring from open play in the seventh minute and converting from the penalty spot in the 50th minute as the Hounds raced out to a 3-0 lead.
