March 28, 2026 - PITTSBURGH - A five-goal thriller greeted fans at the Pittsburgh Riverhounds' first home match of the USL Championship season, and the Highmark Stadium crowd went home happy with a 3-2 victory tonight over USL newcomers Sporting Club Jacksonville. Albert Dikwa scored from open play and from the penalty spot for the Hounds (2-2-0), and Sam Bassett scored a highlight-reel strike from more than 30 yards out into the top corner of the net. March 25, 2026 - PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Riverhounds warded off a game effort from USL League Two amateur side Steel City FC, claiming a 2-1 victory in the First Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup tonight at Highmark Stadium. Danny Griffin and Charles Ahl scored for the Hounds to win the first Open Cup match between two Pittsburgh-area teams since 1957.
