September 3, 2025 - GRANVILLE, W.Va. - The West Virginia Black Bears ended the regular season with a 3-2 loss to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Kendrick Family Ballpark on Wednesday evening. Trey Cooper took the mound for the Black Bears and pitched another strong game. The starter finished seven innings allowing three runs on four hits with six strikeouts. September 1, 2025 - GRANVILLE, W.Va. - The West Virginia Black Bears suffered a tough 4-1 loss to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Kendrick Family Ballpark on Monday evening. After a scoreless first and second, Scrappers' Chase Nixon slapped a line drive to left field that scored Max Johnson to put them up 1-0. The Bears responded with a run in the bottom of the inning.
