August 19, 2020 - Washington, D.C. - The Washington Mystics announced today that they have signed Jacki Gemelos to a seven-day contract. A 6'0 guard, Gemelos was on the roster of the Connecticut Sun and appeared in six games before being waived on Aug. 17. On Aug. 18, the team also re-signed guard Stella Johnson. Johnson originally joined the team because of a medical hardship and has played in two games for the Mystics, averaging 4.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game. Mystics Sign Alicia "Sug" Sutton, Waive Essence Carson

August 16, 2020 - Washington, D.C. - The Washington Mystics announced today that they have signed guard Alecia "Sug" Sutton. Washington originally selected Sutton with the 36th overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft from the University of Texas before waiving her on May 25. Sutton (5-8), averaged a career 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 131 career games (65 starts) for the Longhorns.
