Washington Spirit Forward Tamara Bolt Earns First Call-Up to Brazil Women's National Team

Washington, D.C. - Washington Spirit forward Tamara Bolt has been called up to the Brazil Women's National Team for the side's upcoming home friendlies, the Brazilian Football Confederation announced recently. The team will host Argentina for two friendlies next month in Porto Alegre and São Lourenço da Mata.

A native of Salvador in the state of Bahia on Brazil's east coast, this marks Bolt's first-ever call-up to the Brazilian senior team. Bolt has appeared in 15 total matches for the Spirit since returning to the side from loan prior to the 2026 season. With two starts this year, the forward has almost 300 minutes of NWSL action under her belt so far. Last weekend, Bolt scored her first goal with Washington when she connected on a header from teammate Trinity Rodman late in the Spirit's 3-0 win over Chicago.

Brazil's October Schedule:

vs Argentina | Saturday, October 10 at 3:30 p.m. EDT (Estádio Beira-Rio, Porto Alegre)

vs Argentina | Tuesday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. EDT (Arena Pernambuco, São Lourenço da Mata)

The Spirit will take the pitch at Audi Field next on Saturday, September 26 when the side hosts Angel City FC. Kicking off at 6:30 p.m. EDT, the match will be Washington's annual CVS Health Day. Tickets are available at WashingtonSpirit.com/tickets.
