June 9, 2025 - TORONTO, ON - The Toronto Sceptres have added forward Emma Maltais as the fourth player on its protected list for the 2025 PWHL Expansion Roster Building Process, following the acquisitions of Sarah Nurse by PWHL Vancouver and Julia Gosling by PWHL Seattle.
Emma Maltais joins Renata Fast, Blayre Turnbull, and Daryl Watts as the four players protected from selection over the Exclusive Signing Window and the Expansion Draft.

May 14, 2025 - SAINT PAUL, MN - The reigning Walter Cup champions will return to the PWHL Finals as the Minnesota Frost defeated the Toronto Sceptres 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday night at Xcel Energy Center to win the best-of-five semifinal series 3-1. Taylor Heise scored the overtime winner at the 16:00 minute mark of the extra frame, securing a Frost victory over the Sceptres for a second straight playoff season. May 11, 2025 - SAINT PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Frost were on the winning side of a 7-5 victory in the highest scoring game in PWHL history to take a 2-1 series lead over the Toronto Sceptres on Sunday evening at Xcel Energy Center. Twenty-one different players found the scoresheet between the teams, including 11 multi-point producers. The Frost opened the game strong, scoring three goals in a five-minute span, with markers from Liz Schepers, Brooke McQuigge and Lee Stecklein, before the Sceptres recorded their first shot on goal.
