Storm Drop Season Opener in Overtime, Fall 4-3 in Windsor

September 20, 2018 - The Guelph Storm showed all sorts of fire power in the first game of the 2018-19 Season on Thursday night in Windsor, but fell just short of the first win. The Storm put a total of 46 shots on the Windsor Spitfires' rookie netminder, Kari Piiroinen, who made 43 saves, earning first star honours in the 4-3 final. Storm netminder Anthony Popovich was also a strong spot in the loss, turning aside 26 of 29 shots faced, including several big saves in crucial moments throughout the match-up. Storm Acquire 3rd Round Pick in 2021 OHL Priority Selection

September 17, 2018 - Guelph Storm General Manager and Head Coach, George Burnett, has announced that the Storm have acquired a 3rd round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection from the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for the rights to forward Dennis Golovatchev. Veterans Storm NHL Prospect Camps

September 6, 2018 - Several Storm players are showcasing their talent at NHL prospect camps this month. This list includes ten players, the most since the 2013-14 OHL Championship team when 12 players attended, that are eligible to return to the Storm for the 2018-19 season. Five Pre-Season Questions with Cam Hillis

September 6, 2018 - Cam Hillis had a breakout rookie season for the Guelph Storm leading to a third round selection by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2018 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old from Enniskillen, Ont., scored 20 goals and 39 assists for 59 points in 60 games representing the highest Storm rookie total since 2001-02.
