May 7, 2026 - The Sarnia Sting are pleased to announce the signing of defenceman Wyatt Herres to a Standard Player Agreement.
Herres, a 2007-born right-shot defenceman from Neenah, joins the Sting after spending the 2025-26 season with the Chicago Steel of the USHL. In 28 games this season, the 6-foot-2, 181-pound blueliner recorded 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points.

April 9, 2026 - The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed left-winger Carter Chadwick to a Standard Player Agreement.
Chadwick, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward from Cobourg, ON, is a free agent currently playing with the Chatham Maroons and has been on the Sting's radar throughout the season. He is coming off a strong campaign, recording 32 goals and 19 assists for 51 points in 47 games.

March 3, 2026 - SARNIA, ON - The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club, in partnership with the City of Sarnia, are proud to announce a five-year renewal of the arena naming rights agreement with Progressive Auto Group, ensuring the home of Sarnia Sting OHL Hockey and a major hub for local community programming will continue to be known as Progressive Auto Sales Arena through the 2030-31 season. The renewed agreement begins following the conclusion of the current term on August 7, 2026.
