March 3, 2026 - SARNIA, ON - The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club, in partnership with the City of Sarnia, are proud to announce a five-year renewal of the arena naming rights agreement with Progressive Auto Group, ensuring the home of Sarnia Sting OHL Hockey and a major hub for local community programming will continue to be known as Progressive Auto Sales Arena through the 2030-31 season. February 20, 2026 - The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed defenceman, Chase Sewell, to a standard player agreement.
Sewell, 16, is a 6-foot-5, 201-pound left-shot defenceman from Aylmer, Ontario. He has spent the 2025-26 season with the Strathroy Rockets (GOHL), registering 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists) in 39 games. Sewell has also appeared in five games with the Sting this season as an affiliated player.

February 7, 2026 - The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed defenceman, Olivier Romain, to a standard player agreement.
Romain will appear in his sixth Ontario Hockey League game with the Sting this afternoon when Sarnia takes on the Brampton Steelheads.

January 15, 2026 - The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club has announced the signing of defenceman Kalib Capecci and goaltender Kale Osipenko, adding important depth to the roster as the club prepares for the second half of the Ontario Hockey League season and beyond.
Capecci, a 2006-born defenceman from Sewell, New Jersey, joins the Sting as a free agent signing out of the NAHL. He spent the 2025-26 season with the Johnstown Tomahawks, recording nine goals and 23 assists for 32 points in 35 games.
