Injury Forces Release of Nyisztor

July 19, 2018 - OTTAWA - Due to a nagging injury, the Champions have been forced to release a key member of their infield. INF Steve Nyisztor has been dealing with a groin injury for a better part of the 2018 season. He has not made the progress he would have liked, and has made the decision to return home for an extended period of time. July 17, 2018 - OTTAWA - The Ottawa Champions ended their seven-game losing streak in convincing fashion by beating the Quebec Capitales 10-2 on Tuesday night at RCGT Park. "You have to give credit to RHP Steve Borkowksi. He really had good game today," said manager Hal Lanier following the victory. "He got ahead of the hitters tonight.
