May 5, 2025 - RED DEER - The Red Deer Rebels are excited to announce that recently acquired forward Zane Torre has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the team. Torre was acquired by the Rebels from the Seattle Thunderbirds last month in exchange for a 4 th round pick at this week's 2025 WHL Prospects Draft (via Everett) and a conditional 4 th round pick at the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft. April 22, 2025 - RED DEER - Red Deer Rebels Owner, President and General Manager Brent Sutter today announced that the club has completed a trade with the Seattle Thunderbirds. The Rebels have acquired forward Zane Torre from the Thunderbirds in exchange for a 4th round pick at the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft (via Everett) and a conditional 4th round pick at the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft. April 15, 2025 - RED DEER - Four Red Deer Rebels players are listed in the NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings for the 2025 NHL Draft. Matthew Gard (F, '07) - 37th North American Skaters (+5 from midterm ranking) The sophomore centre from Winnipeg was one of Red Deer's most consistent players this season finishing tied for the team lead with 36 points, including a team high 19 goals. April 10, 2025 - RED DEER - The Red Deer Rebels will pick 7th overall in the opening round of the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft. The 2025 WHL Prospects Draft Lottery was held Thursday evening. The Regina Pats won the lottery and will select first overall, followed by Edmonton (via Moose Jaw), Kelowna, Penticton, Everett (via Kamloops), Vancouver (via Wenatchee) and Red Deer.
