Giants to Play Preseason Game in Port Coquitlam on September 10

August 8, 2025 - Port Coquitlam, B.C. - The City of Port Coquitlam is once again hosting Western Hockey League (WHL) preseason action this September, with the Vancouver Giants taking on the Victoria Royals on Wednesday, September 10. The tune-up contest will take place at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) inside Jon Baillie Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. The Giants have played at least one game in Port Coquitlam every preseason since 2022-23. Ryan Lin Named to Hockey Canada's Hlinka Gretzky Cup Roster

August 1, 2025 - Calgary, Alta. - Vancouver Giants defenceman Ryan Lin (Richmond, B.C.) has officially been named to Hockey Canada's national men's under-18 team for the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which takes place August 11-16 in Brno, Czech Republic and Trenčín, Slovakia. This annual summer U18 tournament is the first opportunity for scouts to see NHL draft-eligible prospects in their draft year, 10 months ahead of the draft. Giants Hire Alumnus Wacey Rabbit as Assistant Coach

August 1, 2025 - Ladner, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants announced today the hiring of Wacey Rabbit (Kainai First Nation, Alta.) as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 Western Hockey League season. Rabbit most recently served as an assistant coach with the WHL's Saskatoon Blades for the past three seasons (2022-25). During that time, the club recorded two 100-point regular seasons and went to back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals in 2023 and 2024. Giants Hire Paul Ng as New Equipment Manager

July 29, 2025 - Ladner, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants announced today that Paul Ng will serve as the team's new Equipment Manager starting in the 2025-26 WHL season. Ng, originally from Saskatoon, has worked for multiple Junior A and U-18 clubs over the years, including the Humboldt Broncos (SJHL), Merritt Centennials (BCHL), Burnaby Express (BCHL) and Vancouver North West Giants (BCEHL).
