Raiders Acquire Cootes in Blockbuster Trade with Thunderbirds
January 6, 2026 - The Prince Albert Raiders have acquired 18-year old forward Braeden Cootes from the Seattle Thunderbirds. The Raiders also acquired a 2026 4th round pick, a 2026 6th round pick, and a 2028 2nd round pick (conditional).
In exchange, the Raiders have traded away forward Ethan Bibeau, prospects Knox Burton, Diego Gutierrez, and Tripp Fischer. Seattle also picks up a 2026 1st round pick, a 2026 2nd round pick, a 2027 3rd round pick, and a 2028 1st round pick.

Hildebrand Named WHL Goalie of the Year
April 30, 2025 - After a tremendous 20-year-old season, Prince Albert Raiders netminder Max Hildebrand is the recipient of the Del Wilson Memorial Trophy as WHL Goalie of the Year.
Hildebrand led the league in games played (55), and his numbers were astonishing. His .918 save percentage ranked second in the league behind Everett's Raiden LeGall (who played 32 less games), while his 2.87 goals against average ranked 10th. The Martensville, SK product registered three shutouts and had a 33-16-5-0 record.

Rudolph Named to Canada's Roster for U-18 Men's World Hockey Championship
April 24, 2025 - The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce that defenceman Daxon Rudolph has been named to Team Canada's roster for the 2025 U-18 Men's World Hockey Championship.
The tournament is already underway (Apr. 23-May. 3), with four games completed. Canada kicks their tournament off today at 3pm in Allen, Texas when they battle Slovakia.

Raiders Name Ryan McDonald Interim Head Coach
March 10, 2025 - Prince Albert Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt announced on Monday that the club has named Ryan McDonald Interim Head Coach.
Head Coach Jeff Truitt had been relieved of his duties, effective immediately.
"This was a decision not made lightly," Hunt said. "We are appreciative of all the work Jeff has done, from our championship team to today. We wish him the best of luck as he moves forward."
