Larson, Gabruch Leading Charge for Chiefs in Classroom

January 15, 2019 - The Spokane Chiefs are proud to announce that 17-year-old forwards Cordel Larson and Connor Gabruch have been named the Chiefs' Academic Achievers for the months of December and November. WHL players recognized as Academic Achievers are observed as those striving to reach their full potential in their educational programs while balancing WHL commitments. Gabruch, who is taking classes at Joel E. Ferris High School, is currently studying Current World Affairs, English 12, and Anatomy and Physiology, averaging a 95% grade. ... Full Story

Balanced Attack Leads Chiefs to 8-3 Win over Tri-City

January 13, 2019 - SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs used a balanced attack to cruise to a 8-3 win over the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night at Spokane Arena. Fifteen different Chiefs recorded at least a point, including goals by eight different players. January 10, 2019 - SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced on Thursday that defenseman Mike Ladyman has been reassigned and is expected to report to the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). Chiefs Sign Forward Kaden Hanas to WHL Agreement

January 10, 2019 - Spokane, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced on Thursday that they have signed 19-year-old forward Kaden Hanas to a WHL Standard Player Agreement. Hanas is expected to join the team this week. "Kaden plays with a grit and compete," said Chiefs assistant general manager Chris Moulton. "We are pleased to have him join our club for the remainder of the season."
