James Patrick Named Recipient of the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy

April 29, 2025 - The Western Hockey League announced today that Royals Head Coach James Patrick has been named the recipient of the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy for WHL Coach of the Year. Patrick coached the Royals to a 40-17-4-7 record for 91 points during the 2024-25 season, as the team claimed their first B.C. Division title since 2015-16 and second in the team's history. Reschny and Verhoeff Named to Team Canada for U18 World Championship

April 24, 2025 - Victoria B.C., - Cole Reschny and Keaton Verhoeff have been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship in Frisco, Texas. Cole Reschny recorded 92 points this season with 26 goals and 66 assists over 62 games. Reschny set a Royals franchise record for most assists in a single season with 66. Cole Reschny Named WHL Player of the Week

April 21, 2025 - Victoria, B.C. - The Western Hockey League announced today that Cole Reschny has been named Tempo WHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 20th. Reschny appeared in four games as the Royals continued their second round playoff series against Spokane. The 2025 NHL Draft eligible centre, who hails from Macklin, Saskatchewan, posted three goals and eight assists for 11 points in the four games, becoming tied for the most points through the WHL Playoffs so far.
