July 31, 2025 - Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Royals have signed Mykola Kosarev, their 55th overall selection in the CHL Import Draft, to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Hailing from Kharkiv, Ukraine, Kosarev is a 6'0, 192-pound defenseman who has a proven track record of scoring from the blueline. Last season, his 3rd in the Stavanger organization, Kosarev appeared in 50 games, 22 of them being at the Men's professional level and scored 40 points (13 goals, 27 assists). Royals Acquire Ethan Eskit and a Draft Pick from Brandon Wheat Kings in Exchange for Jayden Kraus

July 29, 2025 - Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Royals announced today that they have acquired 2006-born goaltender Ethan Eskit and a seventh-round pick in the 2029 draft from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for Jayden Kraus. Eskit, who hails from Calgary, Alberta, has appeared in 50 games for the Wheat Kings over the course of past two seasons, where he had a 3.18 goals against average, a 0.890 save percentage, and 21-17-2-3 record over that time. Royals Acquire Roan Woodward from Edmonton Oil Kings

July 9, 2025 - Victoria, B.C. - The Victoria Royals have acquired 2005-born forward Roan Woodward from the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for a sixth-round selection in 2026 and a fourth-round selection in 2027. Woodward, a product of Nipawin, S.K., is joining the Royals for his fifth season in the Western Hockey League. Initially drafted in the fourth round, 87th overall in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft by the Everett Silvertips, Woodward has played in 240 WHL games and accrued 114 points (45 goals, 69 assists) in that time.
