2026 WHL Prospects Draft Recap
May 8, 2026 - Medicine Hat, AB - The Tigers started off the 2026 WHL Draft by bringing back a familiar name in the Tigers family in Max Osgood, the son of Tigers Alumnus and three-time Stanley Cup Champion Chris Osgood, with the 21st pick in the first round. Osgood is a smart, agile forward with quickness and slippery skill. He's hard on pucks, possesses strong vision, and reads the ice well. A detail-oriented player who competes at both ends of the rink.

May 7, 2026 - Calgary, Alta. - The Western Hockey League announced today Medicine Hat Tigers captain and Montreal Canadiens prospect Bryce Pickford has been awarded the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as WHL Player of the Year for 2025-26.

Tigers Acquire Holberton from Seattle
May 7, 2026 - Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers have acquired 2007-born Brayden Holberton and a fifth-round pick (108th overall) in the 2026 WHL Draft in exchange for forward prospect Luke Puchner (2008), a seventh-round pick (142nd overall) in the 2026 WHL Draft and a conditional third-round pick in 2029.
