WHL Saskatoon Blades January 19, 2022 - Former Saskatoon Blades netminder Logan Flodell has signed a professional tryout agreement with the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights. The Regina native suited up one season for the Blades in 2016-17, becoming a fan-favourite in a short period of time. In 42 games, Flodell rocked a .912 save percentage, and a 2.81 GAA, three shutouts, and 22 wins in 42 games. That season rewarded him by being selected to the Eastern Conference 2nd All-Star team. WHL Saskatoon Blades January 17, 2022 - SASKATOON, SK --The Saskatoon Blades announced on Monday the acquisition of 2002-born forward Josh Pillar from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for a conditional 2024 second-round pick, and a conditional 2022 third- round pick in the WHL Prospects Draft. Pillar, a product of Warman, SK, is a prospect of the Minnesota Wild, having been selected in the fourth-round, 127th overall, in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. WHL Saskatoon Blades January 15, 2022 - SASKATOON, SK - Vaughn Watterodt waited 30 games to feel what it's like to score in the Western Hockey League, and it came at the perfect time. The Rosetown, SK product's first career goal was the insurance marker in a 4-1 victory for the Blades over the Swift Current Broncos at SaskTel Centre on Saturday.
