TRADE: Blades Acquire Conditional Pick for Lees

July 19, 2018 - Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatoon Blades have traded 2000 born forward Tyler Lees to the Victoria Royals in exchange for a conditional 7th round draft pick in 2019. Lees, originally from Regina, appeared in 32 games for the Blades last season, tallying 2 goals, 1 assist, and 20 penalty minutes. In 2016-17, Lees scored one goal in seven games with Saskatoon. Fantillo Announces Retirement

July 19, 2018 - Saskatoon, SK - 20-year-old forward, Caleb Fantillo, announced his retirement from junior hockey on Wednesday evening via Twitter. Fantillo (1998) spent most of the last two season with the Saskatoon Blades after being acquired from the Medicine Hat Tigers in October 2016. During his time with the Blades, Fantillo suited up for 88 games scoring 12 goals, 19 points, and adding 88 penalty minutes. July 16, 2018 - Saskatoon, SK - Two Saskatoon Blades prospects were named to Hockey Alberta's under-16 shortlist roster on Monday afternoon for the upcoming 2019 Canada Winter Games. Forward Colton Dach (Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.) and defenseman Charlie Wright (Olds, Alta) are among Alberta's top 35 players under the age of 16 to make the shortlist.
