Trio Named to Midterm Rankings by NHL Central Scouting

January 13, 2026 - LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club has announced that three players including Kyle Heger, Gavin Lesiuk and Nathan Maloney have been named by the National Hockey League's Central Scouting Service on the Midterm Rankings for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. Heger, 18, was ranked 67th among North American skaters. The Eagan, MN, product was acquired by the Hurricanes prior to the WHL Draft Deadline in January. January 9, 2026 - LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have announced the resignation of General Manager Peter Anholt, effective immediately. "After a WHL disciplinary investigation, the Lethbridge Hurricanes have accepted the resignation of General Manager Peter Anholt. It was mutually determined that this is the best path forward following the conclusion of the investigation. Hurricanes Trade Cozens to Tigers for Heger

January 7, 2026 - LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have announced the acquisition of 2007-born defenceman Kyle Heger along with a conditional fourth-round draft pick (REG) in 2028 from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for 2006-born forward Luke Cozens and a conditional fourth-round draft pick (SPO) in the 2028 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft.
