Hitmen Announce 2024-25 Regular Season Schedule

July 25, 2024 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have officially announced their 2024-25 regular season schedule. The Hitmen will kick off their 30 th Anniversary season on the road in Edmonton on September 28 th before returning home for the club's home opener vs the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sunday, September 29 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Game time is 2:00 p.m. MT. The 2024-25 schedule will see Calgary play 68 games with 34 home and 34 on the road. Hitmen Select Czech Forward Robin Svancara in 2024 CHL Import Draft

July 3, 2024 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced the selection of forward Robin Svancara in the 2024 CHL Import Draft. The Hitmen used their first-round pick, 17th overall, on the forward from Czechia. Svancara has played with HC Ocelari Trinec for the past three seasons. The 17-year-old finished the 2023-24 season with Trinec U17 with 37 points (19g, 18a) in 25 games played. Wetsch Selected 82nd Overall in 2024 NHL Draft

June 29, 2024 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen are proud to announce Carson Wetsch has been drafted in the third round, 82nd overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft. Carson Wetsch joined the Hitmen after being drafted by Calgary 12th overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects draft. The 17-year-old finished the 2023-24 campaign with 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points, more than doubling his point production from the previous season. Yakemchuk Selected Seventh Overall in 2024 NHL Draft

June 28, 2024 - Las Vegas, NV - The Calgary Hitmen are pleased to announce defenceman Carter Yakemchuk has been drafted by the Ottawa Senators seventh overall in the 2024 NHL Draft. Yakemchuk had a record-breaking year, making history with the most goals recorded by a Hitmen defenceman in a single season, beating the previous record of 24 set by Jake Bean 2015-16 season.
