May 20, 2025 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have signed 2008-born defenceman Ben MacBeath to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. MacBeath's rights were acquired by Calgary in a six piece transaction with the Kelowna Rockets earlier this month. The Calgary Native spent the 2024-25 season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL where he registered 34 points (4g, 30a) in 53 games in his first season of junior. Hitmen Select 11 in WHL Prospects Draft

May 8, 2025 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen selected a total of 11 players at the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, held online Thursday. In all, the Hitmen selected six forwards, two defencemen and three goaltenders. May 7, 2025 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have traded forward Carson Wetsch and a conditional second round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft to the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for 2008-born defenceman Ben MacBeath, a first-round pick in 2027 (Kelowna), second-round pick in 2025 and third-round pick in 2025 WHL Prospects Draft. May 7, 2025 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen have traded 2006-born forward Chase Valliant and 2008-born prospect Easton LaPlante to the Penticton Vees in exchange for a 2027 fourth round pick.
