June 5, 2025 - Growing up in small-town Alberta, it's no surprise some of Crew Martinson's earliest memories of hockey were on an outdoor rink.
"I think it's kind of a cliche answer," he said. "But going on the outdoor rink with your friends and parents, learning how to skate, just having fun. Most of my memories I have from back then are just being on the outdoor rink with your buddies."
Cliche or not, Martinson's early foray into hockey on the outdoor rinks in Olds, Alberta helped pave the way for the player he has become.

June 4, 2025 - Kennewick, WA - The Tri-City Americans, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League, today announced their 2025-26 home opener is scheduled for Saturday, October 4 against the Wenatchee Wild. Puck drop at the Toyota Center will be 6:05. It's the first time in franchise history Tri-City has hosted Wenatchee in their first home game of the season.
The 2025 home opener will mark the 19th time in the past 25 seasons, dating back to 2000-01, that the Americans host a U.S. Division opponent for their home opener.

June 2, 2025 - Kennewick, WA - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory today announced the team has signed 2010-born forward Ben Oliverio to a Scholarship and Development Agreement. Oliverio was drafted ninth overall by the Americans in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.
"Ben is a highly skilled, competitive forward with tremendous leadership skills," said Tory. "We are excited for Ben's future development and welcome him and his family to the Americans."

May 30, 2025 - Kennewick, WA - The Tri-City Americans announced today that head coach Stu Barnes has notified the organization he will not return for the 2025-26 season.
"This is one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make in my career," said Barnes. "We have a great group of young players on our team, and I am going to miss being around them day-to-day, helping them in their development and growth as hockey players."
