March 20, 2019 - The Western Hockey League announced today the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star teams and Conference individual award winners for the 2018-19 WHL season. Rookie defender, Lassi Thomson was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the Western Conference Second All-Star team. The Tampere, Finland product was drafted by the Rockets 53rd overall in the first round of the 2018 CHL Import Draft last June. March 20, 2019 - The WHL held their Bantam Draft lottery at the WHL Office in Calgary earlier today to determine the order of the first six selections in the first round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. The Kelowna Rockets retained their spot of selecting fifth overall at the upcoming draft. The WHL Bantam Draft Lottery involved the six non-playoff teams (Swift Current, Winnipeg, Regina, Prince George, Kelowna, and Brandon) from the 2018-19 WHL Regular Season. March 20, 2019 - The Kelowna Rockets season came to an end Tuesday night as the Kamloops Blazers defeated them 5-1 in a tiebreaker game at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops B.C. Kelowna and Kamloops finished the 2018-19 WHL Regular Season tied for third place in the WHL's B.C. March 18, 2019 - The Kelowna Rockets will do something tomorrow that has never been done in the organization's history before, they'll face the Kamloops Blazers in a tiebreaker game.
