CEBL Lifer Jordan Baker Leads Stingers into New Season, with Sea Bears First Up

May 8, 2026 - Jordan Baker has seen it all. The Edmonton Stingers icon played in Year 1 of the CEBL in 2019, lived through the 2020 bubble and won a title then went back-to-back the next year. He played one more season in 2022 before becoming the team's head coach and now president. On Saturday, he'll lead his team into its eighth season as it hosts the Winnipeg Sea Bears to tip off the campaign. Stingers 2026 Schedule Set

January 15, 2026 - (Edmonton) - The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) have announced dates for their 2026 schedule. The schedule will feature 24 regular season games, and fans can experience 12 home games at the Edmonton EXPO Centre from early May to August. For the second straight year, the Stingers will help tip-off the CEBL schedule, as they open the league's eighth season on Saturday, May 9th at 1:30 PM in a home game against the Winnipeg Sea Bears. Jordan Baker Named Edmonton Stingers President

September 18, 2025 - Stingers Entertainment Group LP (SEG), owner of the Edmonton Stingers and co-owner of the Canadian Elite Basketball League, announced Thursday that Jordan Baker has assumed the role of President of the organization. Baker will continue to be Head Coach and General Manager of the Stingers. He has also become a part owner of SEG. Stingers Sean East II Nominated for CEBL Player of the Year

August 13, 2025 - (Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Wednesday that three of their players have been nominated for CEBL Awards. Sean East II, who broke the single season scoring record with 546 points, headlines the group after being nominated for CEBL Player of the Year.
