The Saskatchewan Roughriders are returning to Saskatoon, and fans will have a rare chance to see the Green and White in a setting unlike any other on the CFL schedule.
On Saturday, May 23, the Riders will host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Griffiths Stadium at the University of Saskatchewan, marking the first preseason game in Saskatoon in more than 30 years. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

Crawford(6'4-250) brings 13 years of CFL experience to the Roughriders special teams unit, after spending the previous five seasons (2021-25) with the Calgary Stampeders. In total, the native of Medicine Hat, Alberta played 68 games for the Stamps, earning 16 special teams tackles and one defensive tackle. He was voted the CFLPA's all-star long snapper in 2022.

March 31, 2026 - The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American linebacker David Gbenda.
Gbenda (6'0-235) signed with the NFL's Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2025, attending training camp with the team.
Collegiately, Gbenda spent six seasons (2019-24) with the Texas Longhorns, registering 166 total tackles (including 10.5 for a loss), 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, four pass deflections and a forced fumble in 62 games. Mace led the Roughriders to the title in 2025, becoming just the fifth head coach in franchise history to guide the Club to a championship. The victory capped a remarkable season that saw Saskatchewan finish 12-6 and first overall in the CFL, establishing itself as one of the league's most complete teams.
