July 20, 2026 - The hunt for first place in the standings and a guaranteed spot in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Championship went to the final day of the regular season, with the Bandits coming up one game short of the pinnacle.
A win over Utah could have powered Chicago to the best record, but the 3-1 loss on Sunday night evened things to 16-9 for both teams. The Talons own the head-to-head tiebreaker by virtue of their three-game sweep of the Bandits earlier this season and thus clinched the coveted No. 1 seed.

July 18, 2026 - Sami Williams has done everything and more for the Bandits (16-8) as the top hitter in the league, and on Saturday against the Talons (15-9), she came through with a squeeze bunt in extra innings to walk off the game.
One of the best and most powerful swings in the league this season proved that she could execute small ball too, laying down a bunt in the bottom of the eighth inning to score Bella Dayton from third and pick up a crucial 2-1 victory for Chicago.

July 17, 2026 - Due to the current air quality conditions in the Chicago area, and to ensure the safest environment possible for our players, staff, and fans, the July 18 and July 19 matchups between the Chicago Bandits and Utah Talons have been relocated to Hillsboro Ballpark in Hillsboro, Oregon.
All ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund to their original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Fans who would like to attend the games at Hillsboro may purchase $5 tickets.

July 16, 2026 - The AUSL may be a young league, but the records and benchmarks Skylar Wallace set on Thursday night may stand for quite some time. The Chicago Bandits (15-8) shortstop was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate, and three of those hits were home runs.
"Seeing strikes and getting on time, that's all I gotta say to that," Wallace said.
