March 22, 2025 - CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has signed Chicago Fire FC II defender Diego Konincks (pronounced: CONE-inks) to a short-term agreement. Konincks will be available for today's MLS regular season road match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place.

Kickoff at BMO Field is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CT and the match will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and transmitted locally on wlsam.com (English) and Que Buena 105.1 via the Uforia app (Spanish).

Willliams also signed a contract with Chicago Fire FC as a Homegrown Player, which will run through 2025 with Club options for 2026, 2027 and 2028. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Additionally, New York may receive up to $75,000 in GAM if certain performance-based metrics are achieved.
