Elizabeth Williams Earns WNBA All-Defensive Second Team Honors

WNBA Chicago Sky September 22, 2023 - CHICAGO - Chicago Sky veteran center Elizabeth Williams has been named to the WNBA All-Defensive Second Team, the league announced today. Williams earned all-defensive honors for the second time in her nine-year career, her first appearance in 2020 on the All-Defensive First Team list with Atlanta. This season, she led the Sky in blocks per game (1.5 bpg), total blocks (60) and was No. 5 in the league in the regular season in blocks. WNBA Chicago Sky September 20, 2023 - CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky announced today that Emre Vatansever will not retain the General Manager/Head Coach roles for the 2024 season. Vatansever started with the Sky in May of 2018 as a Player Development Coach and landed a role as Assistant Coach from 2018-2023. WNBA Chicago Sky September 17, 2023 - The Chicago Sky were eliminated from the 2023 WNBA Playoffs, losing 70-92 to the Las Vegas Aces in Game 2 to lose the series 0-2. The Sky are now 20-22 in the playoffs all time and finished the season going 0-5 against the Aces (0-3 in regular season, 0-2 in playoffs).
