Vandersloot Named to All-WNBA First Team; DeShields Earns Second Team Honors

October 6, 2019 - CHICAGO - Chicago Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot has been named to the All-WNBA First Team and guard Diamond DeShields has earned All-WNBA Second Team honors, the league announced today. It marks the first time Vandersloot has garnered the All-WNBA First Team designation in her nine-year career, having made two previous Second Team appearances in 2015 and 2018. September 12, 2019 - KEY RUNS To start the 2nd half, Griner returned to the floor attempting to play thru her first half injury. Chicago started the half on a 9-0 forcing a Phoenix time out and the removal of Griner for the rest of the game. Chicago's James Wade Named WNBA Coach of the Year

September 11, 2019 - NEW YORK - Chicago Sky head coach James Wade has been named the 2019 WNBA Coach of the Year, the WNBA announced today. Wade becomes the first Chicago coach to earn the honor in the franchise's 14-year history. Wade received 27 votes from a national panel of 43 sportswriters and broadcasters. Mike Thibault of the Washington Mystics received 12 votes, Dan Hughes of the Seattle Storm received 2 votes and Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Sparks and Curt Miller of the Connecticut Sun rounded out the votes with one each.
