December 22, 2025 - (Gary, IN) The Gary SouthShore RailCats 2026 roster added two more names earlier today. Manager Jeff Isom signed backstop Drew Stengren and right‑handed pitcher Bryce Hellgeth, with both players entering their third season of professional baseball. Drew Stengren hails from Fox River Grove, Illinois, where he helped his high school, Cary‑Grove, win a regional championship in 2019. Crown Point Native Signs to Pitch with RailCats

December 19, 2025 - (Gary, IN) The RailCats have added another local talent to the Region with their most recent signing. Former Crown Point Bulldog Frank Plesac will take the hill for Gary in the 2026 season. Plesac is a right-handed pitcher who will turn 24 on December 28. He helped the Bulldogs win a sectional championship before graduating and moving on to pitch at Bethel University in Mishawaka. December 16, 2025 - (Gary, IN) - The Gary SouthShore RailCats and Manager Jeff Isom have officially signed their first pitcher to the 2026 roster, welcoming right-handed veteran hurler Matt Reitz to the Steel Yard. Reitz, 29, hails from Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of Providence High School, he continued his baseball career at Covenant College, where he made 41 starts over four years.
