Rogers Brings on Rookie Right-Hander for 2025 Season

January 23, 2025 - (Gary, IN) The roster continues to fill out for Manager Lamarr Rogers and his Gary SouthShore RailCats ball club. The RailCats officially signed Brayan Villar, a right-handed pitcher from West Orange, New Jersey. Villar is 25 years old and just last year he graduated from Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. In his final campaign with the Giants, Villar was lights-out for the program. Two Pitcher of the Week Winners Re-Sign with RailCats

January 21, 2025 - (Gary, IN) The RailCats bolstered their starting rotation today by returning two starting pitchers, LHP Chris Erwin, and RHP Peyton Long. Erwin will rejoin the 'Cats for his fifth year with the organization, while Long will be in his second year in the green and maroon. Chris Erwin is a Georgia native that was selected by the Minnesota Twins coming out of high school, but decided to attend college at Kennesaw State University. Pioneer League All-Star Becomes First Addition in 2025

January 16, 2025 - (Gary, IN) On Thursday, the Gary SouthShore RailCats signed their first player of the new year. Putting on the green and maroon for the first time is left-handed hitting outfielder, and Pioneer League All-Star, Nick Ultsch. Ultsch is entering his 6th year of professional baseball after graduating from Puget Sound as a two-way player. The 6-4 slugger started his career in the Pacific Association in 2019, then jumped to the Utica Unicorns in the United Shore Baseball League, and then spending the last three years in Pioneer... RailCats Family Bowling Returns

January 8, 2025 - The RailCats Family Bowling League returns on Thursday, February 6 at Stardust Bowl II in Merrillville. The league includes great giveaways for all bowlers and the first-place team will win 20 Luxury Suite tickets at a RailCats 2025 home game! For just $19 per person, each bowler receives a RailCats T-shirt, two (2) tickets to a regular season game and two (2) slugger meals. Each team must have four bowlers with at least one adult.
