November 13, 2024 - (Gary, IN) The Gary SouthShore RailCats keep adding to their roster for the 2025 roster. Manager Lamarr Rogers agreed to a deal with a rookie right-hander, Jonathan Martinez. Martinez is 23-years-old and was born in Mission, Texas. He graduated from Palmview High School where he won the 2019 District 31-5A pitcher of the year award. November 10, 2024 - (Gary, IN) RailCats Manager Lamarr Rogers signs two new players to the roster that both spent time in the Frontier League a season ago. Jake Allgeyer, who made his professional debut last year with the Joliet Slammers, and Ethan Lopez, an infielder from the Windy City ThunderBolts. Jake Allgeyer is a 22-year-old switch-hitting infielder from Channahon, Illinois. November 6, 2024 - (Gary, IN) The Gary SouthShore RailCats 2025 roster continues to grow in early November by adding a couple of arms. Andres Diaz and Jaykob Acosta, both 23-year-old right-handed pitchers that played their first year with the 'Cats a season ago. Andres Diaz, a Venezuelan native, joined the RailCats after spending five seasons in the Kansas City Royals system. November 5, 2024 - (Gary, IN) The first step to the 2025 season was made late last week with RailCats Manager Lamarr Rogers adding two players to the roster. The 25-year-old infielder, Howard Rodriguez and rookie southpaw, Grant Umberber. Rodriguez first joined the RailCats for their trip up to Winnipeg in June, for the three-games against the Goldeyes, Rodriguez would start at shortstop for the RailCats.
