McArthur Beats Former Team with Ninth-Inning Double for ThunderBolts

June 16, 2026 - JOLIET, IL - Liam McArthur hit a three-run double in the top of the ninth inning to help the ThunderBolts overcome a late deficit and defeat the Joliet Slammers 7-5 at Slammers Stadium Tuesday night. Joliet (12-21) scored the game's first run in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly but the Bolts (16-16) tied the score in the third on a Carlos Pena home run. ThunderBolts Sweep Crushers with 7-3 Win

June 14, 2026 - CRESTWOOD, IL - The ThunderBolts rode a five-run second inning to their third straight win, beating the Lake Erie Crushers 7-3 at Ozinga Field Sunday afternoon. Nine men came to the plate in the big second inning for the Bolts (15-16). The rally started with back-to-back singles and a walk to load the bases. Liam McArthur picked up his first Windy City RBI with a fielder's choice and, after another walk, Josue Urdaneta was hit by a pitch to force in the second run. Big Innings Lead Bolts to Victory

June 13, 2026 - CRESTWOOD, IL - The ThunderBolts put together two five-run innings on their way to a blowout win over the Lake Erie Crushers, 13-2 at Ozinga Field Saturday night. The scoring started in the bottom of the third, when the Bolts (14-16) sent eight men to the plate. Carlos Pena doubled to start the rally. He scored on an error. Victor Cerny hit an RBI single before a wild pitch scored a third run. Robbie Ayers made it 5-0 with a two-run homer. Late Heroics Save Win for Thunderbolts

June 12, 2026 - CRESTWOOD, IL - Victor Cerny hit a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to back up a strong start from Dante Maietta as the Thunderbolts defeated the Lake Erie Crushers 4-3 at Ozinga Field Friday night. The Bolts (13-16) got off to a strong offensive start, scoring three runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Justin Fogel started the rally with a leadoff double.
