Sharlize Palacios Throws out First Pitch at Padres Game

May 14, 2026 - Utah Talons catcher Sharlize Palacios made a special appearance at Petco Park on Thursday, May 7, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the San Diego Padres hosted the St. Louis Cardinals. Palacios delivered the pitch to right-handed pitcher Ron Marinaccio and became the third Talons player to make an appearance at an MLB game this spring. Talons Select 2 UCLA Bruins in 2026 College Draft

May 4, 2026 - The Utah Talons only had two picks in the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) College Draft and used them to add depth to the pitching staff and corner infield. With the sixth and 12th overall picks, General Manager Lisa Fernandez selected two athletes from the UCLA softball program: Jordan Woolery and Taylor Tinsley. Dallas Escobedo Joins Utah Talons Pitching Staff

April 2, 2026 - The Utah Talons have signed pitcher Dallas Escobedo Magee ahead of the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) season. Escobedo Magee is the first addition to the team since the Talons selected new athletes in the AUSL Expansion Draft in December. Escobedo Magee, who has competed in the Toyota Industries Shining Vega in the Japan Diamond League since 2019, opted out of international play this year. Cindy Ball-Malone Named Head Coach of Utah Talons

March 30, 2026 - Salt Lake City, Utah - The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) announced that Cindy Ball-Malone has been named head coach of the Utah Talons, replacing Howard Dobson. Ball-Malone brings more than two decades of head coaching experience at the collegiate level and is currently the head coach at the University of Central Florida, where she will continue to serve in her existing role while leading the Talons.
