November 7, 2025 - GREENSBORO, NC - The Greensboro Swarm opened its 10th-anniversary season in comeback fashion on Friday night at Novant Health Fieldhouse, overcoming a 13-point deficit to defeat the Maine Celtics, 131-129, in overtime.
Marcus Garrett posted the game-winning free throws to close the game for the Swarm to capture its first opening-night win since its 2021-22 campaign.

October 31, 2025 - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, announced today it has waived forward Jairus Hamilton, center Olisa Akonobi and center DJ Burns.
All three players were acquired ahead of training camp: Hamilton through local tryouts, Akonobi through the NBA G League Draft (pick No. 23) and Burns through the undrafted player pool.
Following these transactions, the Swarm roster stands at 14 players, including two-way signees KJ Simpson, Drew Peterson and Antonio Reeves.... Full Story

The Swarm's 17-man training camp roster includes three two-way Charlotte Hornets players in KJ Simpson, Drew Peterson and Antonio Reeves and five Swarm returners: Keyontae Johnson, Terrell Brown Jr., Marcus Garrett, Isaih Moore and the Swarm's all-time leading scorer, Jaylen Sims.

October 25, 2025 - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, has acquired center D.J. Burns, it was announced today. Burns joins the Swarm after being added from the NBA G League Draft's undrafted player pool.
Burns (6-9, 275) most recently played for the Goyang Sono Skygunners of the Korean Basketball League. In 54 games, he averaged 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 18.7 minutes per game. The 25-year-old went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft and played in four games for the Cleveland Cavaliers dur... Full Story
