2020 Bristol Pirates Field Staff Announced

February 5, 2020 - The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the 2020 field staff for the Bristol Pirates, with Stephen Morales set to lead the way as Bristol's fifth manager since becoming an affiliate of Pittsburgh in 2014. Morales was drafted as a catcher by the Florida Marlins in the 23rd round of the 1996 MLB Draft out of Pedro Parea Fajardo High School in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. September 9, 2019 - The Appalachian League announced on Monday afternoon that the Bristol Pirates are the recipient of the league's annual Community Service Award. The award is presented annually to the team that, "demonstrates an outstanding, ongoing commitment to charitable service, support and leadership within their local community and within the baseball industry". September 2, 2019 - The Bristol Pirates' 2019 season came to a close on Sunday evening, as the Pirates were defeated 7-5 by Johnson City in Game 3 of the Appalachian League semifinals.
