Rowdies Loan Luis Alvarez to Charlotte Independence

February 12, 2026 - ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced today the club has loaned midfielder Luis Alvarez to USL League One's Charlotte Independence for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, terms of the loan agreement were not disclosed. Alvarez recorded two goals and three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for the Rowdies during the 2025 campaign. PETERSBURG, Fla - The Tampa Bay Rowdies fell 2-0 in a preseason meeting with last year's Major League Soccer Supporters Shield winners Philadelphia Union on Saturday evening at Al Lang Stadium. Rowdies and Sarasota Paradise Introduce Charity "Cochol Cup"

February 3, 2026 - ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Rowdies, in partnership with USL League One's Sarasota Paradise, are pleased to announce the creation of the Cochol Cup, an annual charity match in memory of longtime USL executive John Cochol. The Cochol Cup will see the Rowdies and Sarasota face off once a year during the preseason, with the clubs trading hosting duties each year.
