October 18, 2018 - TAMPA Fla. - The Tampa Tarpons have announced their schedule for the 2019 Florida State League season. Opening night at George M. October 2, 2018 - TAMPA, Fla. - Florida State League President Ken Carson and the Sports Turf Crew Awards Committee announced for the second straight year, the Tampa Tarpons won the Best Overall Field Award. This is the third time Richie Anderson and his staff have won the award. Bill Edwards Sells Tampa Bay Rowdies to MLB's Tampa Bay Rays

October 2, 2018 - ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Today, Bill Edwards announced that he has sold the legendary Tampa Bay Rowdies to MLB's Tampa Bay Rays for an undisclosed sum. Management will transition at the conclusion of the season, at which time the Rays will also take over the existing contract with the City of St. Petersburg for management of the landmark Al Lang Stadium, where the team will continue to play matches.
