Smith, Payne and Cain Named OurSports Central UFL Players of the Week

Birmingham Stallions quarterback J'Mar Smith, Arlington Renegades linebacker Donald Payne and Birmingham Stallions wide receiver Deon Cain were named the OurSports Central United Football League Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for week nine of the UFL season. Smith earned honors by completing 22 of 32 passes for 306 yards, two touchdowns while adding seven carries for 31 yards in the Stallions' 26-22 victory over the Michigan Panthers. Jason Binkley Resigns as Royals Head Coach & General Manager

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, announced that Jason Binkley has been relieved of his duties as the team's head coach and general manager. The search for the next head coach of the Royals will begin immediately. Having joined the organization as an assistant coach in 2022, Binkley served three seasons behind Reading's bench. The Powell, Ohio native was an assistant coach under coach James Henry until assuming the position as interim head coach on January 29, 2024. Binkley was named the franchise's ninth head coach... Minnesota Wins Second Straight Walter Cup, Philips Voted Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP

ST. PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Frost earned their second-straight Walter Cup title with a 2-1 overtime win over the Ottawa Charge in Game 4 of the PWHL Finals, presented by Scotiabank. Liz Schepers was the overtime hero for the Frost as she netted the championship winning goal for the second year in a row, sending a roaring crowd of 11,024 fans to their feet at Xcel Energy Center.
