Night Mares Cruise Past Minot Honeybees to Extend Win Streak

Madison, WI - The Madison Night Mares (21-5) dominated at the plate all night long to top the Minot Honeybees (16-10) 11-2 on Monday at Warner Park, winning their eighth game in a row. The Night Mares mounted a two-out rally in the bottom of the first inning. Tia Durst (University of Washington) got things started with an RBI single to open the scoring. Six Cutters Selected in 2025 MLB Draft

A total of six Williamsport Crosscutters were selected in the recently completed 2025 MLB Draft. The draft consisted of 20 rounds with 615 players chosen July 13-14 in Atlanta, the site of the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. The six Williamsport players selected were; 1B Riley Nelson (2024) - Round 5 by Cleveland C Boston Scott - Round 6 by Washington RHP Cody Delvecchio - Round 12 by San Francisco RHP Merit Jones - Round 14 by Minnesota RHP Denton Biller - Round 16 by Baltimore RHP Connor Knox - Round 18 by Chicago (NL) Overall, the MLB Draft League had 44 players that appeare... BASEBALL Carolina League: The renderings were released for the new stadium to be built in downtown Wilson (NC) for the relocated Carolina Mudcats (Zebulon, NC) of the Single-A Carolina League. The Carolina Mudcats will be renamed the Wilson Warbirds to coincide with the team's 2026 move to the Wilson stadium that is expected to be ready in April 2026. Coastal Plain League: The summer-collegiate CPL is playing its 2025 season with the same 15 teams as last season and again aligned in a 7-team East Division and an 8-team West Division.
