BOISE, ID - A special teams showcase included a power play goal and two shorthanded markers as the Greensboro Gargoyles edged the Idaho Steelheads 5-3 on Friday night. Greensboro opened the scoring in the first period on their first power play opportunity of the game as Deni Goure tipped in a Logan Nelson slap shot 12:07 into the game. HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Huntsville Havoc battled to stay in the game after trailing through two periods, rallying late in the third period and earning a shootout win over the Evansville Thunderbolts on Friday night. The first period opened with fast, physical hockey. The Thunderbolts got on the board at 8:44 to take an early lead. While the Havoc went on the power play three minutes later, Evansville remained aggressive offensively and outshot Huntsville 16-9 before the first intermission. A tense second period followed. Dubuque, IA - The Dubuque Fighting Saints (22-9-2-0, 46 pts) took down the USA NTDP U17s (2-16-2-0, 6 pts) in an 8-1 win on Friday, led by Colin Frank's first-career hat trick and 10 points by the top line. Frank scored his first-career USHL hat trick in the win, scoring his 17th goal at 12:29 of the third to cap his historic night. (RAPID CITY, S.D.)- Connor Murphy made 46 saves on 47 shots, and Ryan Chyzowski scored a timely third-period goal as the Rapid City Rush (15-14-2) defeated the Indy Fuel (14-12-4), 3-1, at The Monument Ice Arena on Friday. The Fuel had the early jump in shots and possession, with the Rush recording their first shot 13 minutes into the game.
