Komets, Avalanche Terminate Affiliation

July 19, 2016 - Fort Wayne, IN-- The Fort Wayne Komets announced Tuesday that they have mutually agreed with the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL to terminate the second and final year of their affiliation agreement. Fort Wayne enjoyed the affiliation with the Avalanche and are now parting in an amicable fashion. July 18, 2016 - Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Monday that defenseman Gabriel Beaupre will be returning to the Fort Wayne blue line for 2016-17. Also, center Mike Cazzola has agreed to terms and will make his pro debut with the Komets. Beaupre, 23, will be appearing in his third season with Fort Wayne.
