Dungan Hits Go-Ahead Homer in Saturday Win

Clay Dungan hit a tiebreaking solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning for the El Paso Chihuahuas in their 6-5 win over the Sugar Land Space Cowboys Saturday night at Southwest University Park. It gave the Chihuahuas their fourth win in the first five games of the series and the first five games of the second half. Dungan went 3-for-4 with the home run and a walk. EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville Otters (20-23) outlasted the Florence Y'alls (17-25) 5-4 in game two of the weekend series at Bosse Field.They are now 6-1 in series at home with two splits against Washington. Evansville sent out Braden Scott for his ninth start and he didn't disappoint. He started off strong by striking out the side in the first inning. Thunderbolts Win Series on Pindel's Gem

CRESTWOOD, IL - Buddie Pindel threw 7.1 strong innings and pitched the Thunderbolts to their third straight win as they beat the Joliet Slammers 3-1 at Ozinga Field Saturday night. For the second straight night, the Bolts (14-30) struck early, getting a run in the first inning when their first three batters all reached base. TOLEDO, OH - The Charlotte Knights turned in one of their finest all-around performances of the season on Saturday night. Charlotte earned their second shutout victory of the season with a 9-0 throttling of the Toledo Mud Hens.
