Two of the three newest teams in the United Football League secured their first wins in week four as the Louisville Kings and Columbus Aviators snapped their losing skids.
On Thursday, Louisville defeated the Houston Gamblers 24-22 in overtime to earn the Kings' initial victory. It was the second week in a row the team pushed into overtime.

Murray Shines in Net in Ads Win
Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee netminder Matt Murray stopped 42 shots to guide the Admirals to a game one 4-1 win over the Manitoba Moose in the best-of-three first round series on Wednesday night.
The 42 saves for Murray ties a playoff career high and is the most by an Ads netminder in a playoff game since Devin Cooley made 47 saves in a win over Chicago on May 25th, 2022.
Reid Schaefer, Brady Martin, Kevin Gravel, and Cole O'Hara scored the goals for the Ads, who won on the road in a post-season game one for the first time since April 28th, 2023 which also happened to be against Manitoba.

Checkers Dominate Springfield 8-1 for Game 1 Win
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Checkers started off their playoff run with a bang, throttling the Thunderbirds 8-1 to take Game 1.
The home team tilted the ice right off the bat, racking up four straight goals in the opening frame while holding the Thunderbirds to just two shots on goal. The Checkers kept that momentum rolling into the middle frame, posting three more tallies in the first eight minutes of the period to build a staggering 7-0 lead before the game even hit its midway point.

Late Offense Pushes Bisons Past Columbus
BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo Bisons fell behind early but scored five unanswered runs to defeat the Columbus Clippers 5-3 on Wednesday night at Sahlen Field.
The Clippers were able to score twice in the top of the first inning for the second straight day. That allowed the team to open up another 2-0 lead over the Bisons. Khalil Watson reached on an error and eventually scored the first run of the game. Watson and Stuart Fairchild both scored on Cooper Ingle's two-run double for a two-run advantage. Ingle would leave the game in the top of the third inning after reaching base on a single.
