July 17, 2025 - The Panthers have locked in another restricted free agent, agreeing to terms with Tobias Bjornfot on a one-year, two-way contract.
The 24-year-old defenseman ranked fourth among Charlotte blue liners with 18 points (3g, 15a) in 50 games last season while also skating in 14 contests with Florida.
Bjornfot - who was taken 22nd overall by Los Angeles in 2019 - has recorded 49 points (14g, 35a) in 159 career AHL games with Ontario, Henderson and Charlotte and 15 points (1g, 14a) in 134 NHL games for the Kings, Golden Knigh... Full Story

The 26-year-old posted 24 points (9g, 15a) in 72 games for Charlotte last season - his second as a pro. Over his career he has totaled 55 points (31g, 24a) in 121 games for the Checkers, including tying for the team lead in goals in 2023-24. Skoog also appeared in 20 ECHL games with the Florida Everblades during his rookie year, recording eight points (2g, 6a) along the way.

July 11, 2025 - Another forward is joining the group in Charlotte, as Robert Mastrosimone has inked a one-year, one-way AHL deal.
The 24-year-old posted 14 points (10g, 4a) in 50 games last season for the Toronto Marlies - his second as a pro. Over his career Mastrosimone has 29 points (14g, 15a) in 95 AHL games.

July 10, 2025 - The American Hockey League announced today that Tera Black is the winner of the 2025 Thomas Ebright Award.
The award is presented annually to an individual for outstanding career contributions to the AHL.
Black, who recently announced plans to step away from her role as COO, spent 19 seasons with the Checkers and was instrumental in the team's move to the AHL, the return to Bojangles Coliseum, the Queen City Outdoor Classic and more.
