March 27, 2017 - Charlotte (N.C.) - The Charlotte Independence announced today that defender Dennis Castillo has been loaned from Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer (MLS). Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, the Rapids retain the right to recall Castillo at any point during the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines. March 25, 2017 - Charlotte (N.C.) - On Saturday, the Charlotte Independence played the Jacksonville Armada to a 2-2 draw in their final preseason game.
