Taua, D.C. Defense and Turner Named OurSports Central UFL Players of the Week

Michigan Panthers running back Toa Taua, the D.C. Defenders defense, and Michigan Panthers wide receiver Malik Turner were named the OurSports Central United Football League Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for the Conference Championship week of UFL season. Taua earned offensive honors with 21 carries for 85 yards and three touchdowns in the Panthers' 44-29 victory over the Birmingham Stallions. His longest run went for nine yards. Outlaws Keep Their Hopes Alive

Monday night, the Nashville Kats headed out West to take on the Billings Outlaws. Due to the implications of standings, seeding, and making the postseason, this is almost a pseudo-playoff game. Coming in, the Kats sit third in the standings at 5-3 while the Outlaws are in sixth at 4-6. Darren Arbet and Nashville will look to hold onto that third seed with a win, with Chuck Jones and the Outlaws trying to navigate back into the playoff picture. Doughboys walk off the Sock Puppets in thrilling fashion

Johnson City, Tenn. - Monday's matchup between the Johnson City Doughboys and the Burlington Sock Puppets had everything a baseball fan could ever ask for. It started with strong pitching from both starters, Burlington's Anthony Neubeck threw the first 4 innings for the Sock Puppets allowing no runs and only a singular hit on top of 6 strikeouts.
