SAL Greensboro Grasshoppers GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Aberdeen IronBirds, 9-5, on Thursday afternoon at First National Bank Field. With the win, the Grasshoppers improved to 9-3 in the second half of the South Atlantic League season, while the IronBirds fell to 5-7. Greensboro outhit Aberdeen 8-6, as the IronBirds committed two errors in the field. Outfielder P.J. Red Sox' Houck and Dobbins Set to Rehab with Portland this Weekend Versus New Hampshire

EL Portland Sea Dogs Portland, Maine - Boston Red Sox right-handed pitchers Tanner Houck and Hunter Dobbins will begin injury rehabilitation assignments for the Portland Sea Dogs this weekend, against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats from Delta Dental Park. Houck is expected to make an appearance in Friday's 6:20 P.M. game. Dobbins is expected to pitch in Saturday's 6:00 P.M. contest. Houck has been on the 15-day injured list since May 14, with a right flexor pronator strain, retroactive to May 13. Paige Bueckers Named WNBA Rookie of the Month

WNBA Dallas Wings Arlington, TX - Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers was named WNBA Rookie of the Month for June, the league announced today. This is Bueckers' first Rookie of the Month honor and the first for a Wings newcomer since 2019. Over seven games in June, Bueckers averaged 21.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.9 blocks, .475 shooting from the field and .929 from the free-throw line. Her scoring average ranked third among all players and first among guards, while her steals clip ranked ninth. She was the only player to average at least 20 points and five assists in June.
