Nashville SC Wins Fourth Straight, 4-2, over Charlotte FC
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - First place Nashville Soccer Club is unbeaten in 14 of its first 15 matches this season (10W-1L-4D in MLS and Concacaf Champions Cup) after defeating Charlotte FC 4-2 at GEODIS Park Saturday night.
Hany Mukhtar started the scoring in the 19th minute, assisted by Ahmed Qasem and Warren Madrigal. North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers won a pair of games on Saturday, taking the resumption of Friday's suspended game, 4-0 and then winning the regularly scheduled game by a 5-2 count. In the first game, Kade Anderson, Jimmy Kingsbury and Charlie Beilenson combined on a three hit shutout while striking out 14. Caleb Cali put the Travs on top with a seventh inning home run. Dayton, OH - The South Bend Cubs not only took the series lead in this week's six-game set on the road at Dayton, but they also creeped a game closer to first place in the Midwest League West Division. Emeralds Break up No-Hit Bid in the 8th Before Scoring 5 Unanswered Runs to Secure Victory against Hillsboro
HILLSBORO, OR - The Emeralds defeated the Hillsboro Hops by a final score of 5-2. The Emeralds were being no-hit through the first 7.1 innings of the game but after Walker Martin broke it up with a single, the Ems offense exploded for 5 unanswered runs en-route to their 5th straight victory this week.
